Dsquared2 has teamed with K-Way on a co-branded outerwear collection, hitting stores in July.
The men’s and women’s capsule includes a range of Windbreakers, anoraks and down bomber jackets combining the fashion brand’s contemporary aesthetic with K-Way’s cool, sporty attitude. Dsquared2 offered a preview of the collection during its first men’s and women’s runway show, held in Milan on Jan. 15.

“The collaboration with K-Way is an amazing opportunity for us to work for such an iconic brand. We are excited about the creative synergy the project has sparked; together, both brands are making a unique contemporary statement,” said Dan Caten, founder and creative director of the brand along with his twin brother Dean. “Details are deliberately oversized, like the zips, and the fabrics and finishing are unexpectedly interchangeable. Urban function meets mountaineering cool because in these jackets men and women are style equals.”
The outerwear pieces, which are all reversible and foldable, are embellished with the K-Way logo rendered in a macro version, as well as embroidered patches. In addition, some of the jackets are worked in a Buffalo check pattern, as well as in a micro floral print. The color palette spans from red and black to bright shades of orange and yellow.

“We are so proud of having the opportunity to work with Dean and Dan Caten and we are very pleased with the modern way they have injected the spirit of Dsquared2 into K-Way,” said Lorenzo Boglione, vice president for sales of BasicNet. “The mix of their unique style and our iconic pieces generated a strong and innovative capsule.”
