The Dsquared2 Ho Chi Minh City Boutique.

Dsquared2 has opened its first store in Vietnam.

Located inside Ho Chi Minh City’s Saigon Center, the 2,130-square-foot store was opened in collaboration with Maison Joint Stock, a local leader in the distribution of luxury brands.

The boutique, which carries the brand’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections, is on one floor and boasts six windows. Featuring the label’s newest concept, it has a marble floor, as well as walls covered with hand-treated wood panels and wallpaper depicting a green forest — an homage to the label’s Canadian roots.

“We see Vietnam as the next natural entry point in Asia after China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Macau,” said Dan Caten, who founded Dsquared2 with his twin Dean. “We are proud to have a retail presence here, in a market where consumers who care about international fashion are constantly increasing and we believe this store represents a new chapter and an energetic retail future in Asia for our brand.”

In 2015, Dsquared2, which opened a second unit in Paris in July, revealed plans to open 50 boutiques within five years. Units in Madrid, Munich and Barcelona are among the 10 planned for this year. Last year, the company unveiled 12 stores in key locations such as London, Miami, Dubai and Singapore. Dsquared also entered the Middle East, with new units in Kuwait and Qatar, and plans to develop its presence in China beyond its locations in Beijing and Shanghai.

The brand earlier this week revealed the launch of its first skiwear collection, which will be introduced in collaboration with Staff International.
