PARIS — Swiss-based investment company Paper Rain SA has appointed James Greenfield as managing director of its Paris-based luxury and accessories division, in charge of the Damir Doma, Silent and Côte & Ciel brands.
Greenfield joins the group after an eight-year stint at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, where he held posts at Givenchy and was chief executive officer of fashion brand Kenzo until January. The news comes just before Doma is due to present his latest men’s wear collection in Paris on June 25.
Greenfield will take over the Paris responsibilities of Paper Rain co-founder Stephan Wembacher, who will focus on his duties as chief executive officer and chairman of the group.
“Having built something very special over the past four years with Damir Doma, our goal is to continue to carefully grow this outstanding designer collection in the upcoming years — and it was immediately clear that James will be a sure catalyst for this growth,” the group said in a statement.
Paper Rain also named Carlo Zollo as commercial director for Doma’s women’s and men’s rtw collections. Zollo joined the company in March after eight years as a buyer and men’s wear boutique manager for high-end Paris retailer L’Eclaireur.
