MILAN — Italian fashion entrepreneur Saverio Moschillo, who controls the John Richmond brand, said Thursday that he is planning to open a hotel under the British designer’s name.

The plans were revealed during a press conference at the brand’s showroom here to present PasseParTout, a new creative project developed by four Italian companies which teamed up to offer a complete service for hotel and spa interior design and decoration.

According to Moschillo, the first John Richmond hotel will be located in Asia. No additional details were provided.

All based in southern Italy’s Campania region, Moschillo’s native area, the companies involved in PasseParTout are interior decoration firm Grazia Vecchione Déco; Macrì Segni Creativi, which designs and produces decorative accessories for hotels and spas; Picariello, which is focused on contracts and interior design, and marketing and communication firm Madrigalia, which will promote and manage the project.

“In Italy tourism and hospitality are among our strengths,” Moschillo said. “PasseParTout is a creative platform which is on the front row to support these fundamental cultural and economic elements of our country. It’s not by chance that it has a French name. The word passe-partout is actually a term without linguistic and geographic boundaries. It’s understood and known across the whole world, such as the Italian style.”
