Macy’s Inc. revealed its exclusive SB by Sachin & Babi holiday collection Wednesday night. It’s the latest of the retailer’s designer collaborations.
The collection, which was shown at the Dream Downtown Guest House in New York, is a range of contemporary pieces, including dresses and gowns, statement jackets, and mix-and-match tops, skirts and pants. Sachin & Babi is known for its fashion-forward clothing for special occasions and other important events, as well as its craftsmanship.
SB by Sachin & Babi retails from $99 to $299. Among some of the looks are a lace peplum top ($99), a flash dress ($159), a biker jacket ($159), a tuxedo jacket ($189), an electric sequined bomber ($199) and a pyramid gown ($299).
At Macy’s Herald Square, SB by Sachin & Babi will be housed on the fourth floor. Designed for dressing up for parties for the holidays, the collection will be available on macys.com, beginning Nov. 1 and will launch in 149 Macy’s stores on Nov. 15.
Cassandra Jones, senior vice president of Macy’s said, “Sachin & Babi have made names for themselves through their beautifully crafted statement pieces women wear in their most important moments. Their refinement and cultured sensibility set them apart.” She said Macy’s was happy to partner with them “to bring the artistry of their bespoke clothing to the Macy’s customer for their holiday celebrations.”
In other news, for the month of October, Sachin & Babi is donating 100 percent of the proceeds from its pink “Coconut” earrings to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The earrings sell for $250.
“In my little village of life, I’ve known so many women affected by this terrible illness and have met so many strong survivors,” said Babi Ahluwalia, the codesigner of Sachin & Babi, along with her husband Sachin Ahluwalia. “I am inspired by the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s tireless hours to find a cure and the community that the organization has built to help keep these women alive.”
In order to spread the word, Sachin & Babi has partnered with women from all walks of life who are passionate about the cause, such as actress Megan Mullally, stylist Ann Caruso and beauty expert Deepica Mutyala. Each are sharing images of themselves in the pink “Coconut” earrings on Instagram throughout the month using the hashtag #ShowUsYourCococuts. The brand is encouraging influencers and fans of the brand to do the same.
