LONDON — Orla Kiely is poised to raise its profile in the Japanese market via a new strategic partnership with the Tokyo-based Fujii Company.
The partnership will see the Fujii Company manage the rollout of the Orla Kiely brand across Japan, via an omni-channel strategy built around a core Internet proposition, according to a statement from Kiely.
Additional retail spaces are planned for “prestigious locations,” the statement said. The partnership is aimed at raising the profile in Japan for all of Orla Kiely key lines, including clothing, home and accessories.
“We’ve worked hard to establish Orla Kiely as a distinctive global brand,” said Dermott Rowan, the co-founder and chief executive of Kiely Rowan, parent of Orla Kiely.
Tokyo-based Fujii Company markets and distributes high-end lifestyle products.
