PARIS — Paulo Melim Andersson has joined Zadig & Voltaire, where he will co-design women’s and accessories collections with the brand’s artistic director Cecilia Bönström, the French contemporary brand said.
Melim Andersson, a Swedish native who has worked at Chloé and Marni, will show his first joint designs with Bönström on the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week on March 5. The duo has focused on a “real life” wardrobe with pieces blending leather and mesh.
“We complement each other – his resolutely feminine style sets off the androgynous look of Zadig & Voltaire,” said Bönström, a Swedish former model.
A graduate of Saint Martins in London, Melim Andersson recently worked at Vanessa Bruno and Italian eco-ethnic fashion brand Cangiari. He will divide his time between the Zadig & Voltaire design workshops and lecturing on fashion at the IUAV University in Venice.
