The winners of the third edition of the Prada Journal – Prada Feltrinelli Prize will be revealed today through a digital theater performance. This will be available in a dedicated section at prada.com.
Parts of the four winning stories — written by Kei Matsushima, Flávio Vinicius Moreira Costa, Billie Phillips and Maria Laura Rodriguez — have been transposed into two-minute plays with scripts by American Christopher Ciancimino. Eleven theater actors appear in the plays, each filmed both inside a theater and outdoor.
Users will be able to have an interactive approach in the viewing of the plays, which have been adapted for mobile.
The winners have been selected by a prestigious jury, which included Oscar-winning director Gabriele Salvatores; writer, designer and photographer Craig Mod; writer A.M. Homes, and Carlo Feltrinelli, chief executive officer of publishing house La Feltrinelli.
The Prada Journal – Prada Feltrinelli Prize was established in 2013 with the launch of the first Prada Journal eyewear collection manufactured by Luxottica. The Prada Feltrinelli Prize is aimed at developing an independent literary platform open to writers focused on translating aspects of our reality in words.
