Sasa Kovacevic sent an orange crush of stylized streetwear down the runway for his Sadak men’s wear show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. Billowing hoodies, long tunics and drop-crotch shorts and pants in soft fabrics featured intricate patterns that merged swagger and the folkloric. Graphic word prints were paired with unicorns and swirling botanical patterns in tangerine, black and white.
One standout was an elegant cropped-sleeve coat with a kimono feel and “Thug Life” written down the lapels, worn with a black T-shirt and shorts and transparent-heeled booties. Fittingly, the Serbian-born designer’s work can also be seen in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.”
