There is a changing of the guard at Simon Miller.
Jake Sargent, who cofounded the brand with Daniel Corrigan in 2011, will be leaving his post as president and co-creative director.
His departure follows on the heels of the acquisition of Indigoods LLC, Simon Miller’s parent company, by Influx Studio LLC, a business founded by Corrigan and Chelsea Hansford, brand director. Corrigan and Hansford will now serve as co-creative directors of the men’s and women’s brand. Sargent will be pursuing other new business opportunities but will remain an equity holder in Influx, the company said.
“I am proud that Daniel’s and my work over the past four years have established an identity, ethos and customer for Simon Miller, and Daniel and Chelsea have my full support on the next leg of the journey,” said Sargent.
Corrigan added, “I can’t believe it has been four years since Jake and I started conceptualizing the Simon Miller brand. I am very proud of what we have accomplished together and I look forward to supporting him in his future endeavors.”
Simon Miller uses exclusively Japanese textiles to create its collection of denim and indigo-dyed staples. The company has a New York showroom and a Los Angeles denim studio.
