TOKYO — Winter’s chill propelled another month of growth at Uniqlo.

Fast Retailing Co. Ltd. said Monday that Uniqlo’s December same-store sales rose 11.5 percent on swift sales of its Heattech apparel and down jackets.

Uniqlo’s average spending per consumer dipped 1.7 percent from a year ago but the number of consumers increased 13.4 percent.

Uniqlo’s monthly comp figures exclude the brand’s operations outside Japan.

Uniqlo is currently launching the spring-summer +J collection designed by Jil Sander. The merchandise hit stores in Asia in December and will make its way to Europe and the United States this month.
