NEW CHAPTER: Brian Henke has been named chief executive officer of Versace USA, succeeding Michele Sodi, who had been in the post since 2009. Sodi plans to develop his consulting business.
Most recently, Henke was president of Jimmy Choo USA, a post he held for eight years. Before that, he spent 11 years at Prada, both in the U.S. and Europe, rising to vice president of retail at Prada USA.
Henke, who begins today, said he looks forward to working with Jonathan Akeroyd, ceo of Gianni Versace SpA, and the entire Versace team.
“Given Brian’s successful tenure at both Jimmy Choo and Prada, and his deep understanding of the luxury market and its clientele, we are confident that the brand will be in very good hands with his leadership,” said Akeroyd. “We at Versace are most appreciative of Michele Sodi’s many contributions during his years at the company, and we wish him well in his new entrepreneurial endeavor.”
