Fashion director Tiyana Grulovic cited two main themes — textured knitwear and holiday evening looks — in the latest winter offerings from Aritzia. “Sweater-dressing is really important to us,” she said during a preview on Tuesday morning, holding up a series of oversize, chunky knits and fine-gauge merino wool turtlenecks.
Parkas, a top category for the Canadian retailer, came updated for the season in new colors and fabrications, some with fur trims. There were also three new denim styles that channeled throwback silhouettes without the “guesswork” of vintage shopping.
Sleek evening options included matte sequin minidresses and a standout slinky, bias-cut slipdress in silk panne velvet with a low-cut back.
