CALVIN KLEIN NAMES SCHIEFNER SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF JEANS
NEW YORK — In a move to integrate its jeanswear franchise, Calvin Klein Inc. named Roy Schiefner to the new post of senior vice president of jeans.
Schiefner, who joins Klein after more than 20 years at Levi Strauss & Co., will be responsible for directing global development of all products under the CK Calvin Klein Jeans brand and integrating design, merchandise and product development.
Schiefner reports directly to Tom Murry, president and chief operating officer.
CK Jeans are produced under license by The Warnaco Group in the Americas and by the Fratini Group for Europe, the Mideast and Asia-Pacific.
“Roy knows the jeans business inside and out,” Calvin Klein said in a statement. “He’ll be a major asset to the company.”
At Levi’s, Schiefner held a number of positions in product development, most recently director of research and development. No successor has been named.
