VIKTOR & ROLF PLAN TO MISS JAN. COUTURE
PARIS — Dutch couture duo Viktor & Rolf plan to skip the January couture season as they gear up to launch ready-to-wear for fall 2000, a spokesman for the designers confirmed Friday.
As reported, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, who won raves at the couture last July for dressing model Maggie Rizer, Russian-doll style, in nine crystal-encrusted dresses, are reportedly signing a five-year contract with the Japanese manufacturer Onward Kashiyama.
Viktor & Rolf are expected to rejoin the couture schedule in July.
As reported, Thierry Mugler and Louis Feraud have also bowed out of the schedule for January.
