TV BLITZ: Beauty.com launched a $2.5 million TV ad campaign this week, consisting of 15-second spots on key morning shows, such as “Today” and “Good Morning America” and prime time evening shows “Friends,” “Dateline” and “The Practice.” The campaign runs through the month.
“The 15-second spots are a visual billboard that are designed to get your attention, like the emergency broadcasting system alerts,” said Roger Barnett, ceo of Beauty.com.
In the ads, the shades of the Beauty.com color bar take over the screen and move to the beat of music. The strips of color shrink and transform into the Beauty.com logo and color bar, which mirrors the company’s home page. Throughout the spot, a woman’s voice says, “Beauty.com. A world of makeup, fragrance, skincare and advice. Beauty.com: The world of beauty online.”
The TV campaign is part of Beauty.com’s $12.5 million ad budget for November and December.
