Overall sales: $17.98 billion, plus $1.04 billion from Gucci, of which PPR owns 42 percent

Overall sales: $3.4 billion (estimated)
Holdings: Clothing manufacturer and distributor Gruppo Finanziario Tessile (GFT), which makes collections under license for various designers, including Giorgio Armani Collezione, Joseph Abboud, Antonio Fusco and Calvin Klein Men’s, as well as the Valentino fashion house; a 53.13 percent stake in activewear and footwear company Fila, and a 20 percent stake in Joyce Boutiques, the Hong Kong designer apparel retailer. HdP also owns the publishing house Rizzoli Corriere della Sera.

Liz Claiborne Inc.
Overall sales: $2.54 billion
Holdings: Liz Claiborne (including Lizsport, Lizwear and Liz & Co.), Russ, Elisabeth, Dana Buchman, Sigrid Olsen, the DKNY Jeans and Activewear license and Kenneth Cole Women’s license.
