T.J. MAXX LAUNCHES WEB SITE
NEW YORK — T.J. Maxx, the country’s largest off-pricer, said Tuesday it has opened a Web site aimed at driving business in its 630 stores, although it does not offer goods for purchase online.
Features of the new site, at tjmaxx.com, include “Style File,” highlighting holiday fashions and decorating and entertaining tips; “Perfect Present,” offering gift ideas; a reminder service for personal events; e-gift certificates; a store locator that incorporates driving directions, and “MaxxMail,” an e-mail reminder service for community events and store openings in the user’s area, as well as updates on new developments at the Web site.
Users may access horoscopes, a fashion quiz and a doodle notebook through a link to Maxxlounge.com.
