K-R PROMOTES TWO: Kayser-Roth Corp., the maker of Hue legwear and Calvin Klein sheers, has promoted two key executives.
Julia Clinard has been named vice president of marketing for the company’s department store and specialty store women’s brands. Most recently, she was director of marketing. Clinard will continue to be based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Greensboro, N.C., and reports to Kevin Toomey, president and chief executive officer.
Catrinel Popa has been named vice president of design and merchandising from director of design. She also works in the department store and specialty store division. Popa will continue to be based at the company’s New York showroom and also reports to Toomey.
Clinard and Popa have assumed some of the responsibilities formerly held by Denise Landman, who left the company last month as vice president and general manager of special brands.
Landman has joined Danskin as senior vice president of sales.
NEW EXECS AT JEFFERIES: Don Welborn and Gary Fox have joined the sales team at Jefferies Socks, a division of Monarch Hosiery Mills.
Fox, who has been named national accounts manager, is based at the company’s New York showroom. He reports to Susan Scott, national sales manager, and Ken Hanby, president.
Most recently, Fox was national accounts manager at Cricket Hosiery.
Welborn is based at Jefferies’ Los Angeles showroom and reports to Hanby.
Jefferies, based in Burlington, N.C., makes private label socks and tights.
