PADDY BYNG JOINS RALPH LAUREN AS VP OF EUROPE LICENSING
NEW YORK — Paddy Byng has been named vice president of European licensing at Polo Ralph Lauren, a new post.
Byng will serve as liaison between Polo’s primary licensing partners, Poloco and PRL Europe, to develop the overall European strategy and identify key opportunities.
He reports to Michael Newman, vice chairman of Polo.
Byng was most recently worldwide director of advertising for Piaggio VE SpA, manufacturer of Vespa motor scooters. He was responsible for licensing the Vespa brand into nonscooter areas, primarily apparel. Prior to that he was an account director for Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO Ltd.
