PERELMAN GETS CHAIR AT REVLON AS LEVIN JOINS SUNBEAM AS CEO
NEW YORK — Ronald O. Perelman, 83 percent shareholder of Revlon Inc., has been reelected chairman of the company’s board, succeeding Jerry W. Levin, who remains a director.
Levin has been named chief executive officer of Sunbeam Corp., a company in which Perelman’s MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. has a significant share. Levin will continue as executive vice president of MacAndrews & Forbes.
Perelman was Revlon’s chairman from 1986 to 1995. He then assumed the chairmanship of the executive committee and Levin took the board chairman’s seat.
