KENYON TO RETIRE FROM TALCOTT
NEW YORK — Jerome M. Kenyon, president of Congress Talcott Corp. since 1986, is retiring at the end of this year and will be succeeded by Kevin M. McGarry, executive vice president in charge of new business.
Kenyon, 71, who has been in the factoring business for nearly half a century, plans to remain active in the industry after his retirement.
“It’s still nine months before I retire, so I still have time to think about what I want to do,” he said. “But one thing I do know is that I’m not just going to hang around and watch daytime TV.”
Kenyon began his career in 1948, when he joined United Factors after graduating from City College of New York. After 25 years with United Factors, Kenyon joined Congress Factors as senior vice president in 1976. United Factors went out of business in 1981.
McGarry joined Congress Talcott in 1995 after 17 years with Heller Financial.
