GEORGE NAMED EXECUTIVE VP AT FAIRCHILD
NEW YORK — Stephanie George has been named an executive vice president of Fairchild Publications and will be in charge of sales for WWD, as well as the company’s consumer magazine group, including W, Los Angeles magazine and the upcoming Jane, according to Olivia Thompson, executive vice president, publishing.
George was senior vice president and group publisher. She remains group publisher and will continue to report to Thompson.
In other changes, Ralph Erardy, publisher of WWD, has been named a vice president, and David Merrefield, editor of Supermarket News, has been named a vice president and associate editorial director.
In addition to continuing in his post at Supermarket News, Merrefield will supervise the editorial departments of Footwear News, Golf Pro, HFN and Sportstyle.
