GALA HONORS: The list of honorees keeps growing for the “Spirit of a Woman” awards party to be held April 28 with the theme of “women in film.” Barbara Hershey — who received both Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for her performance in “Portrait of a Lady” — will be honored as actress of the year; Henry Jaglom, known for such films as “Last Summer in the Hamptons,” will be saluted as director of the year, and Vera Wang is designer of the year.
The Intimate Apparel Council’s annual event, to be held at New York’s Puck Building as a highlight of Lingerie Week, will benefit the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Dr. Mildred Krim, co-founder of AmFAR, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.
As noted, Kathy Reynolds, president of Jockey for Her, will receive an industry achievement award, and Bloomingdale’s has been named intimate retailer of the year. Supermodel Iman will host the festivities.
The honorees will receive a Flora medallion, a handcrafted silver medal with an etched image representing the goddess of spring, created by jewelry designer Rachelle Epstein.

INTIMATE INTERNET: The Underfashion Club will host a seminar Wednesday entitled “An Intimate Internet Experience” at the New York Helmsley Hotel.
The forum, which will begin with cocktails and an informal buffet at 5:30 p.m., will focus on how innerwear manufacturers and suppliers can hook on to the Internet and market their products and services.
Four speakers will make the presentation, which will begin at 6:15 p.m.: David Wolfe, creative director of Doneger Associates.; Jan Cain, president of Cain Associates., an advertising firm; Martin Belk, president and chief executive officer of Sensory Networks, a live Internet broadcasting company, and Mark Gibbons, president of Interstat Inc., a company that designs custom web sites.

SARA LEE GOES NATIVE: Sara Lee Intimates has given Native Textiles its 1996 Lace Supplier of the Year Award. The ceremony took place last month at Native’s lace plant in Glen Falls, N.Y. The award was presented to Native’s president, David S. Krivitsky.
