BALI PROMOTES TRUEAX: Paul Trueax has been promoted to vice president of sales forecasting and planning at Bali Co., a new post. He reports to Chuck Nesbit, president.
Trueax had been senior director for direct marketing and sales for the past two years. He joined Sara Lee, which owns Bali, in 1990, and has held various manufacturing, distribution and logistics positions with the Sara Lee Knits division.
SMOOTHIE TAPS TOPF: Strouse, Adler, maker of Smoothie bras and shapewear, has named Barry Topf vice president of manufacturing. He succeeds Graeme Caulfield, who returned to his native Scotland.
Topf, a 30-year veteran of the foundations industry, started his career at Maidenform in 1964 and held various executive posts there, including director of lingerie operations and production planning. From 1981 to 1984, he was director of lingerie operations at Warner’s, and joined Wacoal America in 1986, where he was corporate vice president of operations for five years.
He rejoined Warner’s in 1991 as senior vice president of operations, and has been an industry consultant since late 1994.
Topf reports to Al Kniberg, president and chief operating officer.
