Made by a women’s cooperative in India, A People United features hand-knit sweaters in cotton and rayon with novelty buttons and dresses that combine hand-knit tops and hand-woven skirts. The line also includes a dressier group of hand-blocked rayons. Sportswear prices range from $25 to $50 while a coat collection from Nepal sells for $60 to $120.

Button Up is a novelty-driven sportswear line priced at $30 to $62. Styles are oversized but also include some shaped pieces like swing jackets with darts. Unique buttons — including chenille covered, stacked and coral designs — are its signature.

Empire Orr and Phillipe are two new handbag lines from IMA Fashions Inc. Phillipe features classically styled leathers from $18.50 to $25. Empire Orr specializes in fashion-driven fabric, straw and vinyl handbags including quilted black nylon and leather-trimmed linens for $9.50 to $18.50.

Manufactured in Montreal with leather from England, Euronapa specializes in leather jackets and sportswear from $75 to $270 for a reversible leather jacket.

Jax, a bridge sportswear manufacturer from Vancouver, Canada, opened new divisions in casual Jax Country and moderate-to-better priced Studio Jax. Jax related separates include shaped jackets and updated trousers in such fabrics as gabardine and tricotine, at $50 to $100. At the same prices, Jax Country is a bridge casual offshoot featuring updated classics with an American feel. The Studio line features cashmere blend jackets with stretch suede and novelty chenille in updated classic designs priced $40 to $99.
