REVLON’S LEVIN TAKES ON NEW POSTS
NEW YORK — Jerry W. Levin, chairman of Revlon Inc., has been named to the additional post of chairman and chief executive officer of Coleman Co., another firm controlled by Ronald O. Perelman.
Levin succeeds Michael Hammes, who is leaving Coleman, a manufacturer of camping and leisure equipment. MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc., a Perelman holding company, owns 83 percent of the common shares of Coleman.
MacAndrews also owns 83 percent of Revlon, which Levin has headed since 1991. Two weeks ago, he stepped down as ceo of the beauty giant, turning the reins over to George Fellows, who remains president while adding the ceo title.
