NEW YORK — Bloomingdale’s Kal Ruttenstein, one of the most popular and astute fashion forces in the industry, is in stable condition at Mount Sinai Medical Center here, after suffering a stroke at his home last week, according to a friend, Kenneth Karlstein.
Karlstein said Monday that Ruttenstein is not receiving visitors or flowers at this time and is in the intensive care unit at the hospital, under close clinical observation.
Ruttenstein, senior vice president and fashion director of Bloomingdale’s, was admitted to Mount Sinai on Thursday, the hospital reported.
