TRUSSARDI TAPS BOYD TO RUN U.S. OPERATIONS
NEW YORK — Italian luxury goods company Trussardi has named Shasha Boyd chief executive of its North American business.
It is a new post.
Boyd will oversee expansion of the Trussardi business in the U.S., which is slated to include freestanding stores here and in Beverly Hills, as well as increasing wholesale distribution. Trussardi designs and manufactures high-end apparel, accessories and home goods under its name.
Boyd will report to Nicola Trussardi, chairman of the family-owned business that is based in Milan. She will work out of the company’s headquarters here at 650 Fifth Avenue.
Boyd has been out of the apparel business since leaving Adrienne Vittadini in 1995, where she had been vice president and general merchandise manager for three years. Before that, she was president of Carmelo Pomodoro until the designer’s death in 1992. She also worked at Saks Fifth Avenue as a buyer for women’s designer sportswear in the Eighties.
