CALVIN KLEIN TAPS DEPARIS FOR SENIOR VP
NEW YORK — Calvin Klein Inc. has named Lawrence C. DeParis senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective Monday.
DeParis, 40, had been at Escada USA Inc. for 11 years, most recently as executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer.
DeParis will report to Richard A. Martin, corporate president of finance and administration. He succeeds Robin Orlick, who, as reported, has been named senior vice president of licensing.
Prior to Escada, DeParis was at Coopers & Lybrand as a manager in its emerging business services practice.
“I was very surprised,” said Wolfgang Ley, chairman of Escada AG, Monday afternoon. “Larry has been a wonderful partner. I regret very much his departure, but I can only congratulate him on his career advancement.”
Ley said DeParis’s responsibilities will be split between company treasurer Chris Marks, who will be named chief financial officer, and Ed Beasley, the worldwide director of logistics, who will be named executive vice president of administrative functions.
