HEAR SHIFT DUE AT HERMES WOMEN’S WEAR
PARIS — Brigitte Langevin, fashion consultant at Cerruti, is slated to become director of women’s wear at Hermes International, according to industry sources here.
She would succeed Claude Brouet, who currently holds the post. An Hermes spokeswoman said Brouet “will retire, but no date has been set.”
“It could be in a year, it could be in two years,” the spokeswoman said, adding that no successor has been named for Brouet, but offered no further comment.
Langevin, formerly editor in chief of French Glamour, denied the reports. Brouet could not be reached for comment.
Brouet heads a design team that includes Michele Mariot, Olivier Chatenet, Tan Giudicelli, Thomas Maier and Marc Audibet. Brouet has been with Hermes since 1988.
