NEW YORK — Accessory Network is on the move. The multiple-classification accessories vendor has signed a 15-year lease for 36,000 square feet in the Empire State Building here, according to Abe Chehebar, chief executive officer.
The firm will make the move, vacating its current 26,000-square-foot showroom and office space at 7 west 34th Street in time for the November market, Chehebar said.
All of its 85 employees will make the move to the fourth floor accessories mart in the Empire State Building.
“The addition in the last 18 months of licensed sport and character businesses triggered the decision to move,” said Chehebar. “The new space will also enable us to make room for an acquisition that we’re hoping to complete in the next few months.” He said the new space will have a flexible design on wheels that can be modified according to the needs of different product categories, as well as an expanded design room and video conferencing capabilities.
Accessory Network joins Omega and the Accessories Council on the Empire State’s fourth floor space.
