FASHION BID PUBLIC MEETING SET FOR TONIGHT
NEW YORK — The Fashion Center Business Improvement District will hold its annual public meeting here today at 5:30 p.m. at Parsons Midtown, 560 Seventh Avenue.
At the meeting, which is open to the public, the FCBID board will summarize its activities in the past year, discuss its future goals and present a budget for the 1997-98 fiscal year.
Among the topics to be reviewed include developments in the FCBID’s information services. This includes the release of its Black Book, which sold 200 copies in its first month; the opening of a kiosk at 39th Street and Seventh Avenue, and traffic at its Web site, which has received hits from computers operating around the world, from the U.S. Government to Australia, according to a FCBID spokesman.
There will also be a discussion of ongoing projects, such as a study of foreign trade zones, and city and state initiatives to develop incentive packages that would help manufacturers in the area.
