ON-LINE DEAL: Vans, a Santa Fe-based maker and retailer of active-casual footwear and apparel, has acquired a minority interest in The Zone Network, which publishes the outdoor sports on-line magazine The Mountain Zone.
With a focus on two of Vans’ key markets, mountain biking and snow boarding, The Mountain Zone (www.mountainzone.com) could help the company better reach its target audience of 10-to-24-year-olds.
Also in the deal, the two firms will link their Web sites and Mountain Zone will assist Vans in better developing its own site.
