ADIDAS EXECS TO JOIN HANSEN
NEW YORK — Two senior executives at Adidas will join Helly Hansen ASA, a maker of skiwear and other outdoor apparel, on Oct. 13.
Erik Stensrud has been named chief executive officer and Robert McCulloch has been appointed vice president of merchandising and marketing for Helly Hansen.
Both will be based at Helly Hansen’s corporate headquarters in Moss, Norway. They will report to the board of directors of Investcorp, the Bahrain-based investment firm that is Helly Hansen’s principal shareholder.
Stensrud, a 19-year veteran with Adidas, is currently senior vice president of apparel and accessories at Adidas AG in Germany.
Stensrud will replace Tony Thomas, who joined Helly Hansen in May as interim ceo, a company spokeswoman said.
To help with the transition, Thomas will stay on with the company through the end of the year, she added.
McCulloch is managing director at Adidas UK. His post at Helly Hansen is a new one.
Adidas AG has not yet named replacements for Stensrud and McCulloch, an Adidas spokesman said.
