NEW YORK — Harry Wesley Stilwell, 81, a stringer for Fairchild News Service for many years, died Saturday at a nursing home in Williamsport, Pa.
The cause of death was complications from a series of strokes and other ailments, according to Stilwell’s daughter Margaret Bressler.
Known professionally as Wesley Stilwell, he covered a variety of industries throughout Pennsylvania for Fairchild Publications, including WWD.
He remained active until June 1994, when he suffered his first stroke.
In addition to his daughter Margaret, survivors include two sons, Ray and William Stilwell; two other daughters, Helen Mackey and Judith Stilwell; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for Nov. 2 in Reading, Pa.
