NEW YORK — Boston Red Sox first baseman Mo Vaughn is the latest professional athlete who plans to enter the women’s activewear business.
As reported, Michael Jordan expects to introduce women’s activewear within the next two years under his new label for Nike.
Motivated Sports, a Canton, Mass., company that specializes in athletic camps for girls and boys, has launched a men’s apparel division for spring called Get Motivated.
Vaughn was one of Motivated Sports’ founders.
The women’s line, which will be distributed in sporting goods stores, specialty stores and department stores, will be unveiled in 1999.
