SUI OPENS 2ND FAR EAST STORE IN OSAKA CITY
NEW YORK — Anna Sui opened her second freestanding store in the Far East Saturday in Osaka City, Japan.
Mammina, a subsidiary of Isetan Co. Ltd., which is the main licensee for the Japanese distribution of Anna Sui’s collection, owns and operates the store. Sui’s first Far East boutique opened last May in Tokyo.
The Osaka City store, a 950-square-foot unit located in the Big Step building, carries Anna Sui’s signature clothing collection, accessories and merchandise, as well as sublicensed products. The store is situated near Vivienne Westwood and Daryl K boutiques.
First-year sales of the Osaka store are expected to hit $1 million.
The shop will mirror the eclectic style and design of Anna Sui’s boutique at 113 Greene Street in SoHo here.
