SARA LEE PROMOTES BEAUDIN: Kirk Beaudin has been promoted to senior vice president from vice president of Sara Lee Corp.
His responsibilities will not change, a Sara Lee spokesman said. Beaudin maintains his responsibilities as chief executive officer of Sara Lee Knit Products, which produces a variety of activewear, underwear and sportswear under such labels as Hanes, Hanes Her Way, Champion, Champion JogBra, Polo Ralph Lauren, Carter’s and Spalding.
He will continue to be based in Winston-Salem, N.C., and reports to Don Franceschini, vice chairman of Sara Lee.
Beaudin joined Sara Lee in 1982 as vice president of marketing and sales for Hanes Printables. He became a corporate vice president in 1994.
KARAN INTIMATES TAPS BATCHA: Debbie Batcha has been named vice president of merchandising for the licensed Donna Karan Intimates collection at Wacoal America.
Batcha reports to Richard Murray, president of Wacoal America, the U.S. arm of Wacoal Japan. She succeeds Berna Goldstein, who joined the Bali Co. unit of Sara Lee Intimates in June as vice president of merchandising for bras.
Batcha most recently was director of product development for bras and shapers for the Vanity Fair and licensed Eileen West brands from 1992 to 1996 and was also senior merchandise manager for the body fashions division of Vanity Fair from 1986 to 1989. She was vice president of merchandising for foundations, daywear and panties at the Warner’s division of The Warnaco Group from 1991 to 1992 and merchandising director of Warner’s Europe from 1989 to 1991. Batcha had been a director of marketing and merchandising at Wacoal for two years, when Wacoal products were introduced to the U.S. market in 1984.
BESTFORM PROMOTES PERRONE: Linda Perrone has been promoted to the new post of vice president of design from designer for five foundations labels at Bestform Group Inc.: Lily of France, Underscene and three licensed names — Natori, Josie and Natori II.
She reports to Marvin Bienenfeld, chairman and ceo.
Dolores Dabe, who was design director of the Lily of France brand, continues her responsibilities as designer of the licensed Christian Dior brand and private label.
