CHANEL PLANS TO OPEN STORE FOR FRAGRANCE AND COSMETICS
PARIS — Chanel plans to open its first freestanding fragrance and cosmetics store.
The unit is to open here next spring on the Rue Royale in a 4,500-square-foot space currently occupied by the Et Vous men’s store, which will close, a Chanel spokeswoman said Wednesday, confirming trade reports.
The spokeswoman declined to give details about the perfumery. She did note, however, that the company had no immediate plans for others.
In another development, Chanel has plans to expand its Avenue Montaigne shop. The company is acquiring the cafe adjacent to the shop, and this will add 1,000 square feet.
