ESCADA PARIS BOUTIQUE ROBBED FOR SECOND TIME IN 4 MONTHS
PARIS — The Escada boutique on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore here was hit early Thursday morning by robbers who carted away about $165,000 worth of ready-to-wear.
It was the second robbery at the store within four months, according to store owner Helene Vagh. The earlier incident occurred April 27.
“I think it was the same people who robbed us last time,” said Vagh. “They smashed the storefront window with a car and did their damage early in the morning both times. They took almost everything from the ground floor of [the two-floor] shop.
“But perhaps we should look at this incident as a confirmation that Escada is a product that pleases,” she quipped.
According to police, the robbery occurred around 5:30 a.m.
