The Children’s Action Network benefit was underwritten by Giorgio Armani and featured a runway showing of Armani’s fall collection at co-host Rita Wilson’s Malibu house. Due to an editing error, Armani’s affiliation with the event was omitted from coverage on Tuesday’s Eye page.

A poem read by Madonna at the Gianni Versace memorial in New York this month was written by an anonymous Native American. It was incorrectly reported, Sept. 9, page 4, that Madonna had written the poem.

A freestanding Martha’s store on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Fla., moved to the Esplanade on Worth Avenue in 1995 and is still operating under the name Martha Phillips. A story about small specialty stores on Sept. 10, Section II, page 6, mistakenly reported that Martha’s closed its last store in 1994.
Martha’s closed three units after it filed for Chapter 11 in December 1992. Two were on Park Avenue in New York and one was in Bal Harbour, Fla.
