FINANCE CHIEF LEAVES DESIGNER HOLDINGS
NEW YORK — Another senior executive has left Designer Holdings Ltd.
Maurice Dickson, chief financial officer, left the company Monday, according to Linda J. Wachner, president, chairman and chief executive officer of The Warnaco Group, which recently took over controlling interest in DH.
Wachner also confirmed the company had laid off 45 people Friday. She said the layoffs were part of a planned workforce reduction accompanying the merger, which is to be completed Dec. 12.
Dickson could not be reached for comment.
When the merger is complete, Wachner said William S. Finkelstein, Warnaco’s senior vice president and chief financial officer, will become corporate chief financial officer. His duties then will include the DH operation, which will become a Warnaco division called Calvin Klein Jeans Co.
Until then, Bob Conologue, Warnaco’s controller, will be divisional chief financial officer of the DH operation.
As reported, Debra Simon stepped down last week as executive vice president and a director of DH.
This followed Warnaco’s taking over the 51.3 percent stake in DH held by New Rio LLC.
