IBI STORE SALES GAIN 4 PERCENT
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Intimate Brands Inc. said Wednesday that same-store sales in September rose 4 percent, while total sales gained 16 percent to $254 million from $219.2 million.
Breaking out results for the divisions, the company said that Victoria’s Secret same-store sales inched ahead 2 percent but were lower than expectations due to a less promotional environment.
Bath & Body Works comps gained 7 percent. The company said in a conference call that it is pleased with the division’s in-store inventories.
Same-store sales at Cacique jumped 18 percent.
The Limited Inc. owns 83 percent of Intimate Brands.
