HARRODS GETS TIFFANY
NEW YORK — Tiffany & Co. will open its first United Kingdom in-store boutique in Harrods’ Knightsbridge store in November.
The shop is the fine jeweler’s second London location. Tiffany’s freestanding store on Old Bond Street in London’s Mayfair section opened in 1986.
The 1,300-square-foot boutique will be in Harrods’ ground floor Fine Jewelry Room. The range of merchandise will run from the classic Tiffany assortment of fine and engagement jewelry and the latest designs from the Tiffany Nature collection to its exclusive collections by Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso and Jean Schlumberger. Also included in the mix will be Tiffany watches and clocks, sterling silver gifts and accessories, scarves and fragrances.
Tiffany & Co. currently operates over 100 locations in 15 countries, more than half of which are in-store boutiques or hotel locations, according to a Tiffany spokesman.
Tiffany’s neighbors in the Fine Jewelry room will include such other retail jewelers as Cartier, Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, Chaumet and Chanel watches.
