NEW YORK — The Fashion Accessories Expo will launch a cash-and-carry show to take place during the November accessories market.
The three-day event will run from Monday, Nov. 3, through Wednesday, Nov. 5, and be held at Pier 88 here, according to the show’s producer, Norwalk, Conn.-based Ullo International.
The FAE has not staged any sort of trade show in November for years.
Dubbed Fashion Accessories Immediate Goods Market, the show will provide exhibitors with a way to sell off back stock, overruns and inventory surplus and buyers a last-minute opportunity to fill in stock levels for the holiday season.
Also, the FAE will be on the move again for its next major show, with the January edition slated to be held at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers here Jan. 11-13, 1998.
In recent seasons, the FAE has been held at various locations, including the New York Coliseum, the piers on the Hudson River and the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
