JANICE PAGE STEPS DOWN AT SEARS
NEW YORK — Janice Page has resigned as group vice president of accessories, cosmetics, fine jewelry and footwear at Sears, Roebuck & Co.
Page, a 27-year veteran of the Chicago-based retail chain, could not be reached. Confirming reports of her departure, a company spokeswoman, though, said Friday, “Janice is leaving us, effective today, to spend more time with her family.”
A successor has not been named, the spokeswoman said.
Until this past spring Page’s responsibilities also included intimate apparel. The Sears apparel division was then restructured, and intimate apparel became part of ready-to-wear. Lana Cain is group vice president of rtw as well intimate apparel.
Page joined the Sears management program after graduating from Penn State University. Throughout her tenure, she served in numerous executive posts, and bought categories ranging from girls’ apparel and home accessories, to toys, cards and sporting goods.
