MACY’S EAST PROMOTES BRADLEY BELZ TO SENIOR VP
NEW YORK — Bradley Belz, group vice president of central human resources at Macy’s East, was promoted to senior vice president of human resources, the company said Tuesday.
He succeeds Jim Andress, who was recently named president of the Stern’s division of Federated Department Stores.
Belz, who reports to James Gray, president and chief operating officer of Macy’s East, began his career at Macy’s as a trainee in 1973.
He joined Lord & Taylor in 1978, and rose through the ranks, from buyer to vice president and divisional merchandise manager. In 1991, Belz joined Federated’s Jordan Marsh division as vice president of central human resources. He assumed the same post at Macy’s East in 1994, adding training and development responsibilities to his job description.
Belz was named group vice president of central human resources, his most recent post, in 1996.
With his promotion, Belz becomes a member of Macy’s East executive committee.
A company spokeswoman said a successor for Belz has not been named.
