WARNER BROS. TAPS DICKSON TO MANAGE ITS U.K. DIVISION
NEW YORK — Warner Bros. Studio Stores International has named Peter Dickson managing director of the U.K. division.
He succeeds Stuart Soloway, who recently left the company to pursue other interests, a Warner Bros. spokeswoman said.
Dickson will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of existing Studio Stores in the U.K. and developing new store locations within the territory.
“We are very pleased with our business in the U.K. and optimistic about the continued growth and brand exposure,” said Dennis Adomaitis, executive vice president of Warner Bros. Studio Stores International, in a statement. He added that the company’s U.K. expansion plans will be completed by the end of the year.
Studio Stores opened its first U.K. location in Manchester, England, in 1993. The chain now has nine stores in England and one in Glasgow, Scotland.
Prior to joining Warner Bros., Dickson was director of retail operations and marketing for the ladies division of Coats Viyella ladies division, where he was responsible for 175 outlet stores. He was also responsible for Jaeger and Van Heusen outlet divisions of Coats Viyella.
