MIRACLESUIT PRESIDENT: Jay Feigenbaum has been named to the new post of president of MiracleSuit, a New York swimwear company.
Feigenbaum, who started March 1, will be responsible for sales, product and merchandising. Some of those duties had been handled by Paula Michael, who left last month to be vice president and general manager of Roxanne Swimwear. As vice president of sales at MiracleSuit, Michael ran the division, which is part of A&H Sportswear. A&H, based in Stockertown, Pa., also markets the labels Mainstream and Backflips.
Feigenbaum reports to Mark Waldman, vice president of A&H sportswear. He had been president of Sea Q-America for the past two years. Prior to that, he was president of Robby Len swimwear for 15 years. Sea Q-America has not yet named a new president.
WILLIWEAR’S WORKOUT: Randy Industries Inc. has signed a licensing agreement with World Class Licensing to produce a line of activewear for women under the WilliWear label.
First-year projected volume is $3 million, according to Don Anderson, executive vice president and general merchandise manager for Randy.
The 36-piece collection wholesales from $6 for a cotton and Lycra spandex bra top to $18 for a cotton and polyester fleece zipper-front jacket.
Randy has also signed an agreement with World Class Licensing to develop a girls’ activewear line that should generate at least $1.2 million in wholesale volume in its first year.
Both lines are marketed to specialty and department stores.
